The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Pink Floyd Team getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Dida Salgado hit a great ball. Luiz Eduardo Leão was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 4th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. If André Rezende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 11 minutes into the match, Pink Floyd Team's goal looked a bit too open when André Rezende came free, but Oséias Mineiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Fernandão de Carvalho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Santana FC's Hamílton Neiva got control of the ball when Hélder Brito tried to sneak it across the goal line. André Rezende struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Oséias Mineiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Santana FC. André Rezende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Oséias Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 30 minutes, Fernandão de Carvalho managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santana FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernandão de Carvalho was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 33 minutes into the match, Santana FC's André Rezende sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oséias Mineiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Hélder Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 41 minutes, Luiz Eduardo Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pink Floyd Team's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Eduardo Gaspar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Santana FC's Christian Dantas suffered a sprained foot after 43 minutes and couldn't finish the game. Dida Salgado charged in rather forcefully in the 43rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dida Salgado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when André Rezende made the kick off in the second half. With an all-out effort, Santana FC's Oséias Mineiro threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Agnaldo Vaz, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Oséias Mineiro made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when André Rezende sent off a good shot on target. André Rezende recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fernandão de Carvalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Pink Floyd Team's Oséias Mineiro got control of the ball when André Rezende tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pink Floyd Team's Oséias Mineiro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Pink Floyd Team from getting a goal against them. 78 minutes into the game, Agnaldo Vaz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Santana FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pink Floyd Team the free kick. In the 79th minute, Agnaldo Vaz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pink Floyd Team's Denílson Terra couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 79th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Santana FC. Hélder Brito struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Hamílton Neiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pink Floyd Team. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hélder Brito in the 85th minute of play forced Santana FC's goalkeeper Hamílton Neiva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. André Rezende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Oséias Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Valdir Teles came free with the goalkeeper in the 88th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Oséias Mineiro could save by the left post. Hélder Brito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Hamílton Neiva read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
