André Luís Dantas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Natã Nóbrega in the 7th minute of the match. In the 11th match minute, Croc F.C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nando Lopez to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the match, Croc F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Duarte came free, but Bebeto Antunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Grêmio Maringá's André Luís Dantas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severino Velasco in the 19th minute of play. If Severino Velasco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Natã Nóbrega in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck André Luís Dantas prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mathias Freire hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Orlando Terra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grêmio Maringá's supporters rose to their feet, but Orlando Terra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bebeto Antunes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Patrick Duarte in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bebeto Antunes saved Croc F.C from getting behind. In the 47th minute Patrick Duarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bebeto Antunes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Natã Nóbrega made a kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Severino Velasco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Croc F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Severino Velasco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patrick Duarte was extremely unlucky when he, in the 59th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After a rather tough play, Croc F.C's Mané Arantes got a free kick in the 67th minute. Grêmio Maringá's Deivid Donatello couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 68th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Croc F.C. After a defensive mix-up in Croc F.C's zone, Patrick Duarte stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bebeto Antunes came out of the goal and Patrick Duarte tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. André Luís Dantas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Severino Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. André Luís Dantas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Severino Velasco in the 90th minute of the match. Bebeto Antunes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Orlando Terra in the 93rd minute. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
