Thanks to some nice moves Edmílson Pereira could shoot a difficult shot in the 12th minute, which Elano Ceresso however easily saved by the left post. After 14 played minutes Vilavelhense fc got a freekick which was hit by Diguinho Maranhense. After a rather tough play, Campo Grande Football's Ismael Mesquita got a free kick in the 16th minute. Filipe Hoffmann struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Raúl Neiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Vilavelhense fc. The supporters of Vilavelhense fc booed when Campo Grande Football was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmílson Pereira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabrício Vianna fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl Neiva having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Campo Grande Football's goal looked a bit too open when Filipe Hoffmann came free, but Raúl Neiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 37 minutes of play, Campo Grande Football's Válter Bittencourt made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Elano Ceresso was left in no man's land by his defense there! Raúl Neiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Hoffmann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filipe Hoffmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raúl Neiva having to interfere. Laércio Damião kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Campo Grande Football's Raúl Neiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Campo Grande Football from getting a goal against them. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Filipe Hoffmann in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Raúl Neiva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 76th minute Laércio Damião shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Elano Ceresso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The attack was good, but when Filipe Hoffmann in the 78th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Richard Sarmento kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. When Filipe Hoffmann came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Vilavelhense fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filipe Hoffmann couldn't finish the play. Raúl Neiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filipe Hoffmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. If Filipe Hoffmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
