A collision led to Borapracima getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Wiliam Teles hit a great ball. In the 10th match minute, Borapracima was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Serginho Diniz to maneuver through the defense. 12 minutes into the match, Borapracima's goal looked a bit too open when Wellington Borges came free, but Narciso Hermes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wellington Borges struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Narciso Hermes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for E.C.Vitoria. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cristian Cardoso in the 27th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Márcio Matos saved E.C.Vitoria from getting behind. Wellington Borges sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Diego Mazza might have been able to make a better finish in the 30th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Narciso Hermes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Diego Mazza ran back to his position shaking his head. Antônio das Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Narciso Hermes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Narciso Hermes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antônio das Neves's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cleiton Paraense to strike the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, E.C.Vitoria's Diego Mazza sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Narciso Hermes narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
