After a defensive mix-up in Pirarema FC's zone, Belmiro Linhares stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albertinho Félix came out of the goal and Belmiro Linhares tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Belmiro Linhares in the 9thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Albertinho Félix, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe de Castro in the 10th minute of play forced Pirarema FC's goalkeeper Albertinho Félix to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Felipe de Castro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Albertinho Félix tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ricardinho Domingues kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. A collision led to ScarMoura FC - Goodbye MZ getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Ronaldo Abraão hit a great ball. Joel Torres fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Márcio Sanches having to interfere. If Felipe de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Albertinho Félix was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Ronaldo Abraão. Pirarema FC's Albertinho Félix proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 31st minute of the match, managed to save Pirarema FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Torres in the 34th minute of play forced ScarMoura FC - Goodbye MZ's goalkeeper Márcio Sanches to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Felipe de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anselmo Mandrak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Márcio Sanches having to interfere. João Francisco Magalhães scored 0-1 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Márcio Sanches, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 46th minute, Miguel Vieira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Felipe de Castro was the one to do the kick off. Felipe de Castro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albertinho Félix read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. In the 57th minute Belmiro Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albertinho Félix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Pirarema FC defense, Kléber Vidal kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Albertinho Félix. The Pirarema FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albertinho Félix should have stopped the shot. After a defensive mix-up in ScarMoura FC - Goodbye MZ's zone, Joel Torres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Márcio Sanches came out of the goal and Joel Torres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute, Joel Torres made a precise shot to the right of Márcio Sanches. ScarMoura FC - Goodbye MZ's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. 81 minutes into the match, Joel Torres had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Márcio Sanches. ScarMoura FC - Goodbye MZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Joel Torres was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. In the 84th play minute João Francisco Magalhães came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Márcio Sanches. 1-4. In the 88th minute Felipe de Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Albertinho Félix saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
