When André Luiz de Almeida came up free with the goalie in the 11th minute, the Clube Atlético Jalesense fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that André Luiz de Almeida couldn't finish the play. In the 17th match minute, Mosby FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leopoldo Leme to maneuver through the defense. In the 29thth minute of the game André Luiz de Almeida who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Mosby FC's Hamílton Pitta was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 32nd minute André Luiz de Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamílton Pitta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Mosby FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Lucas Tepedino hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Luiz de Almeida in the 42nd minute of play forced Mosby FC's goalkeeper Hamílton Pitta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Clube Atlético Jalesense were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Caco Corrêa to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Mosby FC's zone, Luís Fabiano das Neves stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamílton Pitta came out of the goal and Luís Fabiano das Neves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dagoberto Pires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Evaristo Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Evaristo Rocha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caco Corrêa in the 60th minute of play. Dagoberto Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Dagoberto Pires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute, Felippe da Mata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Mosby FC's Leopoldo Leme tried to score from far away in the 70th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 72 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Clube Atlético Jalesense! In the 74th minute there was a penalty for Mosby FC. Leopoldo Leme stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Evaristo Rocha. 1-3. Caco Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evaristo Rocha having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers André Luiz de Almeida in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hamílton Pitta saved Mosby FC from getting behind. André Luiz de Almeida blasted a shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hamílton Pitta having to make a save. 91 minutes into the game, Mosby FC's Dagoberto Pires nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Evaristo Rocha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. In the 96th minute Caco Corrêa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 97th minute, Rogério de Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 99th minute, André Luiz de Almeida reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Hamílton Pitta. The goal made the score 2-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Clube Atlético Jalesense had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
