Spectators: 6799 (Terracing: 5100, Seating: 1649, VIP seats: 50) Mosby FC's Caco Corrêa started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience was convinced that Caco Corrêa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albertinho Félix was relentless in the 4th minute of the game. If Joel Torres had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joel Torres received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Hamílton Pitta came out and tried to block the shot, but Joel Torres slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 12th minute. In the 15th minute, Arnaldo Paes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute Joel Torres shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamílton Pitta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Pirarema FC's zone, Wágner Silveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Albertinho Félix came out of the goal and Wágner Silveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Caio Luz kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Dagoberto Pires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Francisco Magalhães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Hamílton Pitta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Pirarema FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dagoberto Pires came free, but Albertinho Félix reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The wind increased when Joel Torres made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Caco Corrêa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mosby FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caco Corrêa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joel Torres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 59 minutes, João Francisco Magalhães managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pirarema FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but João Francisco Magalhães was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Caco Corrêa kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Vicente Dante's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albertinho Félix read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 66th minute of play. 68 minutes into the game, Anselmo Mandrak was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pirarema FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mosby FC the free kick. After 68 played minutes Pirarema FC got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Mandrak. Joel Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Hamílton Pitta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had been going on for 80 minutes, Mosby FC's Leopoldo Leme got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Albertinho Félix. Hamílton Pitta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Francisco Magalhães in the 86th minute of the match. Pirarema FC's João Francisco Magalhães got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 90th match minute, Mosby FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vicente Dante to maneuver through the defense. Anselmo Mandrak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamílton Pitta having to interfere. The Mosby FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mosby FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
