If Eriberto Berger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Evaristo Rocha made a fantastic save in the 44th minute, when Eriberto Berger sent off a good shot on target.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Matheus Gaspar made a kick off. In the 56th minute, Luís Fabiano das Neves got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by André Luiz de Almeida in the 58th minute of play forced Zaion F.C.'s goalkeeper Rafael Souto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rafael Souto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from André Luiz de Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. In the 63rd minute Matheus Gaspar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evaristo Rocha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eriberto Berger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evaristo Rocha went to the wrong direction when Michel Lima was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Rafael Souto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from André Luiz de Almeida in the 71st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eriberto Berger in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Evaristo Rocha saved Clube Atlético Jalesense from getting behind. With an all-out effort, Clube Atlético Jalesense's Rafael Souto threw himself towards the right post 90 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from André Luiz de Almeida, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Rogério de Queiroz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Clube Atlético Jalesense's supporters rose to their feet, but Rogério de Queiroz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rafael Souto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
