After having played for 10 minutes, Ian Garcia managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malandramente's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ian Garcia was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mosby FC's Hamílton Pitta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ian Garcia in the 15th minute of play. 18 minutes into the match, Mosby FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ian Garcia came free, but Hamílton Pitta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Faustão Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Caco Corrêa came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Mosby FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caco Corrêa couldn't finish the play. Malandramente's Ediberto Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dagoberto Pires in the 30th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mosby FC's zone, Moisés Rezende stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamílton Pitta came out of the goal and Moisés Rezende tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ian Garcia was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 38th minute. Malandramente's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Ian Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Hamílton Pitta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dagoberto Pires fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ediberto Sena having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

In the 52nd minute Luís Paulo Couto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamílton Pitta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vicente Dante charged in rather forcefully in the 53rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vicente Dante the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 58th minute Ian Garcia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamílton Pitta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Mosby FC getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Caco Corrêa hit a great ball. Ian Garcia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Hamílton Pitta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Moisés Rezende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Malandramente booed when Mosby FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lucas Tepedino didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mosby FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
