Mosby FC's Dagoberto Pires got a good chance for a goal in the 25th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 28 minutes into the match, Mosby FC's Caco Corrêa sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Márcio Sanches narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Caco Corrêa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Márcio Sanches having to interfere. When Felipe de Castro came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the ScarMoura FC - Goodbye MZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Felipe de Castro couldn't finish the play. Wágner Silveira charged in rather forcefully in the 47th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wágner Silveira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 47th match minute, Mosby FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wágner Silveira to maneuver through the defense. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Felipe de Castro in the 59th minute of play forced Mosby FC's goalkeeper Hamílton Pitta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Everyone was convinced a goal was close when Mosby FC's Caco Corrêa in the 61st minute lifted the ball towards the upper right corner, but Márcio Sanches was perfectly placed and prevented a goal for ScarMoura FC - Goodbye MZ through an amazing save. After a defensive mix-up in ScarMoura FC - Goodbye MZ's zone, Dagoberto Pires stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Márcio Sanches came out of the goal and Dagoberto Pires tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 69th minute, Robinho Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Felipe de Castro put it in 1-1 from a short distance just to the right of Hamílton Pitta. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Caco Corrêa in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Márcio Sanches saved ScarMoura FC - Goodbye MZ from getting behind. If Felipe de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Belmiro Linhares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mosby FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caco Corrêa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
