Conta Encerrada Por Odair's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pedrinho Sarmento ran over to the corner to take the kick. Los Más FC's Pedrinho Sarmento was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Amílton Teixeira in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Abelardo Araújo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Capixaba in the 41st minute of the match. If Leonardo de Toledo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Charles Capixaba was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Los Más FC booed when Conta Encerrada Por Odair was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Basílio Vergílio didn't get a good kick on the ball. Charles Capixaba scored 1-2 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Abelardo Araújo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
