Eliézer Leão made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frank Pirani in the 16th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Egídio de Souza in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. Eliézer Leão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Egídio de Souzas short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Eliézer Leão to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ademir Coutinho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leandro de Amaral having to interfere. Caetano Pombal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Leandro de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hélder Montenegro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Teresina FC getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Chico Bueno hit a great ball. Enio Fantini was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 85th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 87th minute, Ivo Ferraz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Armando Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Teresina FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Armando Amaral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eliézer Leão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 92 minutes of play, Teresina FC's Egídio de Souza made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Eliézer Leão was left in no man's land by his defense there! When the final whistle sounded Teresina FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Mount Rushmore FC.
