José Paulo Souto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eriberto Pinho in the 10th minute of play forced Trahiry's goalkeeper Cleiton Breckenfeld to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eriberto Pinho's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cleiton Breckenfeld read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 14th minute of play. After 16 minutes, Eurico Nóbrega mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Trahiry and the Mizael E. C. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Eurico Nóbrega kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. Breno Melo charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Breno Melo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 27 played minutes Mizael E. C. got a freekick which was hit by Breno Melo. When Nildo Damião came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Trahiry fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nildo Damião couldn't finish the play. Eurico Nóbrega fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without José Paulo Souto having to interfere. Mizael E. C.'s José Paulo Souto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nildo Damião in the 36th minute of play. After 37 minutes of play Mizael E. C.'s Breno Melo was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. José Paulo Souto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eurico Nóbrega, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 40 minutes, Eurico Nóbrega managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trahiry's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eurico Nóbrega was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eurico Nóbrega blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Paulo Souto having to make a save. Eriberto Pinho hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. 46 minutes into the match, Mizael E. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Nildo Damião came free, but José Paulo Souto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nildo Damião scored 0-2 in the 48th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of José Paulo Souto, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After the first half Trahiry were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eurico Nóbrega to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Dé Silveira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cleiton Breckenfeld was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. 58 minutes into the match, Mizael E. C.'s goalkeeper José Paulo Souto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nildo Damião. 61 minutes into the match, Mizael E. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Eurico Nóbrega came free, but José Paulo Souto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Mizael E. C. defense, Nildo Damião kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of José Paulo Souto. The Mizael E. C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that José Paulo Souto should have stopped the shot. José Paulo Souto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eurico Nóbrega in the 66th minute of play. Eurico Nóbrega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. José Paulo Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dé Silveira's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cleiton Breckenfeld read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. In the 81st match minute, Mizael E. C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Benê Torres to maneuver through the defense. Ulysses Maranhense's late challenge caught a Mizael E. C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulysses Maranhense helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Trahiry's Ulysses Maranhense got a free kick in the 84th minute. Nildo Damião could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but José Paulo Souto made a huge save. Eurico Nóbrega received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. José Paulo Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Nildo Damião managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trahiry's supporters rose to their feet, but Nildo Damião was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. José Paulo Souto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match was over Trahiry could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mizael E. C. throughout the match.
