Mount Rushmore FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mizael E. C. the free kick. After 34 played minutes Mount Rushmore FC got a freekick which was hit by Ademir Coutinho. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hélder Montenegro in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg José Paulo Souto saved Mizael E. C. from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hélder Montenegro in the 42nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck José Paulo Souto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Mizael E. C.'s Benê Torres got a free kick in the 44th minute. Ademir Coutinho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. José Paulo Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hélder Montenegro was the one to do the kick off. In the 58th minute, Caetano Pombal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. José Paulo Souto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademir Coutinho in the 65th minute of the match. Ademir Coutinho blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without José Paulo Souto having to make a save. Ademir Coutinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hélder Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
