In the 13th minute Luís Paulo de Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Orlando Vides saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Amílton Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rômulo Paulista showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. Rômulo Paulista made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amílton Quirino in the 25th minute of play. Ituassu FC's Orlando Vides proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 27th minute of the match, managed to save Ituassu FC from getting a goal against them. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Amílton Quirino made a kick off.
