Spectators: 7195 (Terracing: 5398, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Doriva da Silva took the kick off in the first half of the match. 3 minutes into the game, Nacional's Doriva da Silva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Kristijonas Juozapavičius made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ulisses da Rocha recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 8th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 9 minutes, Ulisses da Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nacional's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulisses da Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Enio Bertassi came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Bage's Gustavo Leão. But to his dismay, Gustavo Leão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. A collision led to Bage getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Tomé Novaes hit a great ball. Doriva da Silva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kristijonas Juozapavičius read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Doriva da Silva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ulisses da Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ulisses da Rocha's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kristijonas Juozapavičius read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. The supporters of Nacional booed when Bage was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cipriano Brasil didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ulisses da Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 35 minutes into the match, Bage's goal looked a bit too open when Doriva da Silva came free, but Kristijonas Juozapavičius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Ulisses da Rocha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Kristijonas Juozapavičius. Bage's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ulisses da Rocha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for César Pernambucano to strike the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gustavo Leão in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Enio Bertassi saved Nacional from getting behind. Kristijonas Juozapavičius was a little too slow when Doriva da Silva got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 53rd minute. The score was now 1-3. After some careless play in the Nacional defense, Gustavo Leão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Enio Bertassi. The Nacional fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Enio Bertassi should have stopped the shot. Ulisses da Rocha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Kristijonas Juozapavičius made a huge save. 64 minutes into the match, Bage's goal looked a bit too open when Doriva da Silva came free, but Kristijonas Juozapavičius reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nacional's Enio Bertassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustavo Leão in the 67th minute of play. Dorian Trancoso charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dorian Trancoso the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Bage booed when Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorian Trancoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boleslaw Pietrowski was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 71st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 73 minutes into the match, Nacional's goal looked a bit too open when Paulo Renato Toledo came free, but Enio Bertassi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 81st minute Doriva da Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kristijonas Juozapavičius saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Doriva da Silva came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Nacional fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doriva da Silva couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling César Pernambucano in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Enio Bertassi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 94 minutes into the match, Bage's goalkeeper Kristijonas Juozapavičius had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ulisses da Rocha. The Bage supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Nacional's performance. The match ended with a win for Nacional.
