In the 18th minute, Lauro Montenegro fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Rafinha Baptista, passed just outside the right post. Juti's Lauro Montenegro got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 22nd minute of the match, Lauro Montenegro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rafinha Baptista saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 24th minute of the match Juti got a corner. Cabore EC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Wilton Soares ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Cabore EC's goalie and right to Ezequiel Brasil. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Cabore EC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Fabinho Velasco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amílton Paranaense having to interfere. Amílton Paranaense took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabinho Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th minute of the match Víktor Leite sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amílton Paranaense skillfully saved the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Juti's zone, Fabinho Velasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amílton Paranaense came out of the goal and Fabinho Velasco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Robinho Vidal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lauro Montenegro to make the kick off. Lauro Montenegro charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lauro Montenegro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 52nd match minute, Juti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lauro Montenegro to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes into the game, Manuel Braga was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Juti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cabore EC the free kick. When Víktor Paranaense came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Cabore EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Víktor Paranaense couldn't finish the play. 81 minutes into the game, Juti's Lauro Montenegro nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rafinha Baptista made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 88th minute Ezequiel Brasil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafinha Baptista saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 95 minutes, Robinho Vidal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Juti and the Cabore EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 95th minute, Robinho Vidal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Juti's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
