The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabinho Velasco got free with Geovanni Veloso in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fabinho Velasco blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Geovanni Veloso having to make a save. After having played for 26 minutes, Víktor Paranaense managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cabore EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Víktor Paranaense was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 31 minutes into the match, Cabore EC's goal looked a bit too open when Danilo Vieira came free, but Rafinha Baptista reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Cabore EC's Patrick Rezende got a free kick in the 46th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Danilo Vieira to make the kick off. A collision led to Cabore EC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Luan Medeiros hit a great ball. CR Ryzers's Danilo Vieira got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The long shot by Marcelo Barros in the 60th minute really tested Rafinha Baptista's skills.
