In the 13th minute Edgard Ceresso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enio Bertassi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Doriva da Silva struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Ernesto Brito didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nacional. Enio Bertassi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anderson Guedes in the 18th minute of the match. Enio Bertassi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anderson Guedes in the 25th minute of play. 27 minutes into the match, Nacional's goal looked a bit too open when Edgard Ceresso came free, but Enio Bertassi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Edgard Ceresso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Enio Bertassi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anderson Guedes, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Anderson Guedes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd match minute, Nacional was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dorian Trancoso to maneuver through the defense. After the first half Toledos were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Doriva da Silva in the 64th minute of play forced Toledos's goalkeeper Ernesto Brito to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nacional's Enio Bertassi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anderson Guedes in the 69th minute of play. With an all-out effort, Toledos's Enio Bertassi threw himself towards the right post 78 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anderson Guedes, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 86 minutes into the match, Edgard Ceresso had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Enio Bertassi. Nacional's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Edgard Ceresso was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. After a defensive mix-up in Nacional's zone, Edgard Ceresso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Enio Bertassi came out of the goal and Edgard Ceresso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Toledos's Edgard Ceresso got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Enio Bertassi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anderson Guedes in the 96th minute of the match. When the final whistle sounded Toledos left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Nacional.
