When Pontale's Duarte Vander in the 3rd minute got a chance for a shot 3rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye €tílicos SELLING OUT's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vivaldo Faria in the 5th minute of play forced Pontale's goalkeeper Rodolfo Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 9th minute, Pontale's Emílio Chaves seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Emílio Chaves the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Pontale protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Emílio Chaves had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 8th minute of the game. One of Pontale:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of €tílicos SELLING OUT:s goal. In the 11th minute there was a penalty for €tílicos SELLING OUT. Sebastião Pernambucano stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Rodolfo Medeiros. 0-1. Pontale's Rodolfo Medeiros played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vivaldo Faria in the 13th minute of play. €tílicos SELLING OUT's Célio Lago got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Rodolfo Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rubens de Brito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. €tílicos SELLING OUT's Rafa Azevedo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 26th minute of the match, managed to save €tílicos SELLING OUT from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in €tílicos SELLING OUT's zone, Percy Cerezo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rafa Azevedo came out of the goal and Percy Cerezo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 34 minutes had been played when some careless play by €tílicos SELLING OUT's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Fernando Terra was slow to take the kick. During this time Pontale's players had a chance to rest. Duarte Vander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rafa Azevedo having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Duarte Vander got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vivaldo Faria in the 41st minute of play forced Pontale's goalkeeper Rodolfo Medeiros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vivaldo Faria made a kick off. Célio Lago could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Rodolfo Medeiros made a huge save. Célio Lago received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Rodolfo Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Aguiar's late challenge caught a €tílicos SELLING OUT's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pedro Aguiar helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th match minute, Pontale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Aguiar to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Célio Lago got free with Rodolfo Medeiros in the 63rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Duarte Vander in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rafa Azevedo saved €tílicos SELLING OUT from getting behind. 65 minutes into the match, Pontale's goal looked a bit too open when Umberto Capixaba came free, but Rodolfo Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 66th minute of the match, Célio Lago got a very nice opportunity to score, but Rodolfo Medeiros was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 71st minute, €tílicos SELLING OUT's Umberto Capixaba dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. After 76 minutes, Duarte Vander made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. €tílicos SELLING OUT's Rafa Azevedo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 80th minute, €tílicos SELLING OUT's Vivaldo Faria ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Rodolfo Medeiros. Rodolfo Medeiros yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. In the 85th minute, Duarte Vander left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pontale fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. Célio Lago struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Rodolfo Medeiros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for €tílicos SELLING OUT. Percy Cerezo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With an all-out effort, €tílicos SELLING OUT's Rodolfo Medeiros threw himself towards the right post 96 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vivaldo Faria, which otherwise would have been placed in the net.
