Kristijonas Juozapavičius made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Beto Zanette sent off a good shot on target. Carlos Alberto Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gustavo Leão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Bage's César Pernambucano in the 10th minute got a chance for a shot 10th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Montana EC's goalie prevented a goal. In the 12th minute of the match Elano Vale shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kristijonas Juozapavičius showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 13 minutes into the game, Bage's César Pernambucano nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Carlos Alberto Neves made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. César Pernambucano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Carlos Alberto Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gustavo Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Alberto Neves having to interfere. In the 28th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bage's goalkeeper Kristijonas Juozapavičius, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Gustavo Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 46 minutes into the game, Joélson Nunes recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kristijonas Juozapavičius. Joélson Nunes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joélson Nunes to strike the kick off in the second half. An unexpected shot in the 53rd minute by Gustavo Leão got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 56 minutes into the match, Gustavo Leão notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Montana EC's Carlos Alberto Neves. Carlos Alberto Neves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Joélson Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. César Pernambucano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Durval Gonçalves hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Elano Vale's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kristijonas Juozapavičius read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 72nd minute of play. In the 78th minute, Filipe Borges hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When César Pernambucano came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Bage fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that César Pernambucano couldn't finish the play. Gustavo Leão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Alberto Neves having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joélson Nunes in the 89th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kristijonas Juozapavičius prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gustavo Leão who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 95thth minute tested the skills of Carlos Alberto Neves when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a defensive mix-up in Bage's zone, Joélson Nunes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kristijonas Juozapavičius came out of the goal and Joélson Nunes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Bage walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
