In the 17th minute of the match Wilton Soares sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Alberto Neves skillfully saved the ball. When Lauro Montenegro came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Juti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lauro Montenegro couldn't finish the play. Lauro Montenegro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joélson Nunes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Amílton Paranaense tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Lauro Montenegro kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Carlos Alberto Neves. That made the score 2-0 in the 34 minute of play. Lauro Montenegro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carlos Alberto Neves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 37th minute of play. Montana EC's Carlos Alberto Neves proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 39th minute of the match, managed to save Montana EC from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Montana EC's Carlos Alberto Neves got control of the ball when Robinho Vidal tried to sneak it across the goal line. Amílton Paranaense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Beto Zanette, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Carlos Machado kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Robinho Vidal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Alberto Neves having to interfere. Carlos Alberto Neves showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Robinho Vidal in the 71st minute of the match. Carlos Alberto Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Robinho Vidal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 74 minutes, Lauro Montenegro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Juti and the Montana EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Montana EC booed when Juti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lauro Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Filipe Borges's late challenge caught a Juti's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Filipe Borges helped the player get up and apologised. In the 80th match minute, Montana EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Filipe Borges to maneuver through the defense. Wilton Soares was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 81st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lauro Montenegro in the 84th minute of play forced Montana EC's goalkeeper Carlos Alberto Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
