Kristijonas Juozapavičius tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Duarte Vander came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the Pontale fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Duarte Vander couldn't finish the play. Rodolfo Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from César Pernambucano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rodolfo Medeiros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from César Pernambucano in the 21st minute of play. In the 25th minute, Gustavo Leão got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Alexsandro Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 35th match minute, Pontale was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Duarte Vander to maneuver through the defense. Kristijonas Juozapavičius showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexsandro Meirelles in the 38th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Bage's zone, Duarte Vander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kristijonas Juozapavičius came out of the goal and Duarte Vander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rodolfo Medeiros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from César Pernambucano in the 45th minute of the match. Rodolfo Medeiros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gustavo Leão, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Duarte Vander to make the kick off. When Cipriano Brasil fell near the penalty area in the 52nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bage's protests and gave Cipriano Brasil a yellow card for diving instead. Rodolfo Medeiros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from César Pernambucano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 56 minutes into the game, César Pernambucano lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Rodolfo Medeiros. After some careless play in the Bage defense, Franklin Travassos kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kristijonas Juozapavičius. The Bage fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kristijonas Juozapavičius should have stopped the shot. 73 minutes into the match, Pontale's goal looked a bit too open when César Pernambucano came free, but Rodolfo Medeiros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Duarte Vander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. But to his dismay, Duarte Vander quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Duarte Vander sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 84 minutes into the match, César Pernambucano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Rodolfo Medeiros, 3-2. Boleslaw Pietrowski hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. If Gustavo Leão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Pontale's Rodolfo Medeiros got control of the ball when Gustavo Leão tried to sneak it across the goal line. Pontale walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
