Montana EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Beto Zanette was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tião Leão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Beto Zanette took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tião Leão. Tião Leão dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 27th minute of the match Nico Bittencourt sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Carlos Alberto Neves skillfully saved the ball. Carlos Alberto Neves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armandinho Tróia in the 30th minute of play. Vinícius Paraense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carlos Alberto Neves having to interfere. After 38 minutes, Zé Cruz mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montana EC and the Alharponi players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Alharponi booed when Montana EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zé Cruz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Armandinho Tróia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Armandinho Tróia stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Montana EC's Joélson Nunes got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Tião Leão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Joélson Nunes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Beto Zanette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tião Leão having to interfere. In the 71st minute, Beto Zanette got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Alharponi's Oscar Seco got a free kick in the 72nd minute. Alharponi's supporters crossed their fingers, but Beto Prado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Montana EC's Carlos Alberto Neves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armandinho Tróia in the 83rd minute of play. Joélson Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The Montana EC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Alharponi had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
