The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Chernobyll booed when Flamengo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Haroldo Sanches didn't get a good kick on the ball. 13 minutes into the game, Chernobyll's Adilson Coelho nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Caio Cosme made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. That was the end of his participation in the match. Júnior Queiroz took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Caio Cosme. Caio Cosme dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. If Júnior Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Flamengo's Aníbal Alcântara got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Alex Catarinense made a fantastic save in the 41st minute, when Ronaldinho Mandrak sent off a good shot on target. Flamengo's Caio Cosme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adilson Coelho in the 43rd minute of play. In the 47th match minute, Flamengo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fellipe Pimenta to maneuver through the defense. Júnior Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Caio Cosme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Luiz Fábio Bittencourt to strike the kick off in the second half. Ronaldinho Mandrak charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ronaldinho Mandrak the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 60th match minute, Flamengo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronaldinho Mandrak to maneuver through the defense. After 62 played minutes Adilson Coelho rounded Flamengo's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-4. In the 67th minute, Júnior Queiroz made a precise shot to the right of Caio Cosme. Flamengo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-5. If Júnior Queiroz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 played minutes Flamengo got a freekick which was hit by Fellipe Pimenta. Júnior Queiroz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cauan Mello charged in rather forcefully in the 74th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 74th match minute, Chernobyll was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cauan Mello to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adilson Coelho in the 77th minute of play forced Flamengo's goalkeeper Caio Cosme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Inácio Fernandez struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Caio Cosme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chernobyll. Caio Cosme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adilson Coelho in the 85th minute of the match. If Aníbal Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The throw-in from Cauan Mello in the 90th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Flamengo's Fellipe Pimenta. The audience thought a goal was coming when Júnior Queiroz got free with Caio Cosme in the 94th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 97th minute Adilson Coelho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Caio Cosme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Chernobyll walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
