Spectators: 6530 (Terracing: 5200, Seating: 1250, VIP seats: 80) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Igor Nunes started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, SÓ TEIMOSOS FC's Ronaldinho Sabóia got a free kick in the 2nd minute. If Oséas Braga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mattinha's Gabriel Freire proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Mattinha from getting a goal against them. Gabriel Freire was a little too slow when Charles Moraes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 1-0. Gabriel Freire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodolfo Pinheiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. Mattinha's Igor Nunes got a good chance for a goal in the 15th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 16th match minute, SÓ TEIMOSOS FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Otávio de Mendonça to maneuver through the defense. Sebastião Britto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Igor Nunes's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute Gabriel Luz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Britto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 21 minutes SÓ TEIMOSOS FC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cláudio Arantes who took care of the corner kick. The corner led Mattinha's Cláudio Arantes to fire away a dangerous shot which Sebastião Britto despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 23rd minute Róbson Catarinense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastião Britto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Igor Nunes in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sebastião Britto saved SÓ TEIMOSOS FC from getting behind. In the 30th minute, Cláudio Arantes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 34 minutes, Cláudio Arantes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mattinha and the SÓ TEIMOSOS FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Mattinha's Cláudio Arantes got a free kick in the 34th minute. Gabriel Freire took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cleiton Sabóia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastião Britto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Igor Nunes, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodolfo Pinheiro in the 46th minute of play forced Mattinha's goalkeeper Gabriel Freire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gabriel Freire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nildo Custódio in the 47th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cleiton Sabóia to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, SÓ TEIMOSOS FC's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Nunes came free, but Sebastião Britto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Charles Moraes took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gabriel Freire. Gabriel Freire dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. If Cláudio Arantes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastião Britto stood somewhat misplaced when Igor Nunes came free in front of goal and shot 3-1 to the left of him in the 62 minute. The supporters of Mattinha booed when SÓ TEIMOSOS FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Osvaldo Veiga didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastião Britto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cláudio Arantes in the 67th minute of the match. In the 72ndth minute of the game Igor Nunes who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SÓ TEIMOSOS FC's Sebastião Britto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aníbal Cardoso hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Igor Nunes in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sebastião Britto, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in SÓ TEIMOSOS FC's zone, Gabriel Luz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sebastião Britto came out of the goal and Gabriel Luz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Igor Nunes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mattinha's Róbson Catarinense got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gabriel Freire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Charles Moraes in the 83rd minute of play. Mattinha's Gabriel Freire played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodolfo Pinheiro in the 87th minute of play. Sebastião Britto came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Mattinha's Gabriel Luz. But to his dismay, Gabriel Luz quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-2. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. SÓ TEIMOSOS FC had won after a very even match.
