Gabriel Freire didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Electro. If Romário Bertassi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, Romário Bertassi left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Electro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-3. Geovânio Perez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Róbson Catarinense in the 33rd minute. Gabriel Freire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nelsinho Gonçalves in the 35th minute of play. The coaching staff of Mattinha protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Marquinhos Mattos had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Mattinha fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 62nd minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 65 minutes, Electro's Dário da Silveira got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Gabriel Freire. In the 68th minute, José Augusto Albuquerque hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Geovânio Perez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Igor Nunes's shot from short distance in the 69th minute. An unexpected shot in the 71st minute by Nelsinho Gonçalves got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The referee ignored Electro's protests and gave Luís Guilherme Sena a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Mattinha booed when Electro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Guilherme Sena didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cláudio Arantes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 84th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Geovânio Perez. Electro's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 87th minute, Lorenz Masas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Mattinha's zone, Pierre Zahnleiter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gabriel Freire came out of the goal and Pierre Zahnleiter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Igor Nunes in the 96th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geovânio Perez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Geovânio Perez stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Igor Nunes's shot from short distance in the 98th minute. The Mattinha fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Electro were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
