Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Hugo Tinoco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Capuaba's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Tinoco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Acácio Passos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bebeto Alves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Luiz Moreno's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Délio Quintal in the 13th minute of play forced Capuaba's goalkeeper Bebeto Alves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th match minute, Capuaba was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luan da Costa to maneuver through the defense. Délio Quintal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Bebeto Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 23 played minutes Carlos Eduardo Chaves rounded JUIZ DE FORA FUTEBOL CLUB's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-0. If Délio Quintal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carlos Eduardo Chaves might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Acácio Passos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Carlos Eduardo Chaves ran back to his position shaking his head. Hugo Tinoco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Acácio Passos having to interfere. Bebeto Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedro Luiz Moreno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Luiz Moreno was the one to do the kick off. In the last second Bebeto Alves throw himself and got hold of the ball when Pedro Luiz Moreno in the 53rdth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Jerônimo Goiano kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Bebeto Alves. That made the score 1-1 in the 61 minute of play. 65 minutes into the match, JUIZ DE FORA FUTEBOL CLUB's Pedro Luiz Moreno sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bebeto Alves narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Conrado de Brito charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The crowd rose to their feet as JUIZ DE FORA FUTEBOL CLUB's Pedro Luiz Moreno slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Bebeto Alves. That made the score 2-2 after 76 minutes of play. Bebeto Alves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Luiz Moreno in the 80th minute of play. After 82 played minutes, Capuaba's Diguinho Negri shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Acácio Passos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Capuaba reached it. Carlos Eduardo Chaves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 94th minute the ball was on its way in behind JUIZ DE FORA FUTEBOL CLUB's goalkeeper Acácio Passos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
