The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Jefferson de Alcântara took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Valdir Rosado. Valdir Rosado dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Spp City's Valdir Rosado proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Spp City from getting a goal against them. If Jefferson de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 14 minutes into the game, Germano Pena cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Valdir Rosado was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 17 played minutes Spp City got a freekick which was hit by Décio Freitas. Fernandão Carvalho hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Willian Diniz got free with Valdir Rosado in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valdir Rosado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jefferson de Alcântara in the 28th minute of play. In the 35thth minute of the game Jefferson de Alcântara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Spp City's Valdir Rosado was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice moves Germano Pena could shoot a difficult shot in the 36th minute, which Valdir Rosado however easily saved by the left post. 37 minutes into the match, Spp City's goalkeeper Valdir Rosado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dorian Palmeira. In the 39th minute, BALAVENUTO FC's Tomás de Andrade dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 4-0. Fernandão Carvalho was shown his second yellow card after 44 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 44th match minute, BALAVENUTO FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernandão Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. When Zé Augusto Nunes fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Spp City's protests and gave Zé Augusto Nunes a yellow card for diving instead. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

After a defensive mix-up in BALAVENUTO FC's zone, Natã Toledo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dudu Penha came out of the goal and Natã Toledo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Spp City booed when BALAVENUTO FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jefferson de Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valdir Rosado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeu da Rocha in the 60th minute of the match. Valdir Rosado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre de Barros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute, Décio Freitas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dudu Penha. The goal made the score 4-1. Spp City's Valdir Rosado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amadeu da Rocha in the 73rd minute of play. Valdir Rosado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amadeu da Rocha in the 79th minute of the match. Spp City's Valdir Rosado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandre de Barros in the 82nd minute of play. Germano Pena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Valdir Rosado tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alexandre de Barros in the 90th minute of play forced Spp City's goalkeeper Valdir Rosado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 94th minute, Zé Augusto Nunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. BALAVENUTO FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
