Uberaba FC's Dário Linhares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmílson Barbosa in the 16th minute of play. In the 29th match minute, Tornado FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edmílson Barbosa to maneuver through the defense. Tornado FC's Paulinho Freitas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Tornado FC from getting a goal against them. Ismael de Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 42 played minutes Uberaba FC got a freekick which was hit by Zé Carlos de Sousa. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ulysses Esteves in the 43rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dário Linhares saved Uberaba FC from getting behind. Gil Cordeiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Paulinho Freitas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kléber de Godoi kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Gil Cordeiro made the kick off in the second half. Gil Cordeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulinho Freitas having to interfere. Ulysses Esteves's late challenge caught a Uberaba FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ulysses Esteves helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Tornado FC's Ulysses Esteves got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 66th minute, Flavinho Carneiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Edmílson Barbosa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dário Linhares was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Thanks to some nice moves Ulysses Esteves could shoot a difficult shot in the 75th minute, which Dário Linhares however easily saved by the left post. After having played for 90 minutes, Gil Cordeiro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
