Cacá Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Cacá Maranhense had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wiliam Dias was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 34 minutes into the game, Nelson Paraíba was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Fidalga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Onca EC the free kick. Nelson Paraíba hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. The supporters of Onca EC booed when Fidalga was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nelson Paraíba didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Ramalho, 36 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Wiliam Dias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilson Freitas in the 38th minute. Fidalga's Wiliam Dias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save Fidalga from getting a goal against them. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Nelson Paraíba to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Fidalga defense, Wilson Freitas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wiliam Dias. The Fidalga fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wiliam Dias should have stopped the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cacá Maranhense in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wiliam Dias prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 68 minutes into the match, Fidalga's goal looked a bit too open when Cacá Maranhense came free, but Wiliam Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 72 played minutes Fidalga got a freekick which was hit by Fabinho Alagoano. When Cacá Maranhense came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Onca EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cacá Maranhense couldn't finish the play. Wilson Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wiliam Dias having to interfere. In the 83rdth minute of the game Cacá Maranhense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fidalga's Wiliam Dias was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Wilson Freitas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wiliam Dias having to interfere. Onca EC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
