With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sílvio Luiz Quirino in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronaldinho de Mendonça saved Embirizal SS from getting behind. A hard shot 22 in the game by Donato Brito from a close distance when the talented Donato da Costa managed to make a qualified save. Cruzeiro de Cachoeirinha's players were relieved. Donato Brito struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Donato da Costa didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Embirizal SS. Donato da Costa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Donato Brito in the 28th minute. Embirizal SS's Donato Brito got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Horácio Gaspar charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Horácio Gaspar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Horácio Gaspar hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Donato da Costa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Chicão Batista, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Embirizal SS's zone, Natã Marquez stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronaldinho de Mendonça came out of the goal and Natã Marquez tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Embirizal SS's Ronaldinho de Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Luiz Quirino in the 43rd minute of play. Ronaldinho de Mendonça stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Natã Marquez's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Chicão Batista to strike the kick off in the second half. Sydney Valladares's late challenge caught a Embirizal SS's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sydney Valladares helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Embirizal SS booed when Cruzeiro de Cachoeirinha was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sydney Valladares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Chicão Batista recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Embirizal SS's Ronaldinho de Mendonça played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natã Marquez in the 69th minute of play. Natã Marquez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Ronaldinho de Mendonça tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Natã Marquez's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ronaldinho de Mendonça was relentless in the 80th minute of the game. Sílvio Luiz Quirino who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Ronaldinho de Mendonça when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 91stth minute of the game Natã Marquez who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Embirizal SS's Ronaldinho de Mendonça was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Embirizal SS supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Cruzeiro de Cachoeirinha's performance. The match ended with a win for Cruzeiro de Cachoeirinha.
