Spectators: 7230 (Terracing: 5424, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Durvalino de Sousa started the match with the kick off. In the 11th minute Juan Arruda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sílvio Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Durvalino de Sousa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sílvio Lira having to make a save. In the 14th minute, Juan Arruda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Perizes's Sílvio Lira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Durvalino de Sousa in the 16th minute of play. An unexpected shot in the 20th minute by Joel Severo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Osvaldinho Abraão's late challenge caught a Perizes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Osvaldinho Abraão helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd minute Osvaldo Nunes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldemar Sampaio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 25th minute, Osvaldinho Abraão ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sílvio Lira was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 28th minute, Ricardinho Camargo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Osvaldinho Abraão might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sílvio Lira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Osvaldinho Abraão ran back to his position shaking his head. Perizes's Sílvio Lira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael Tepedino in the 31st minute of play. If Durvalino de Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juan Arruda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 36 minutes, Durvalino de Sousa put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Sílvio Lira. In the 40th minute, Juan Arruda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Durvalino de Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aníbal Pirani blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sílvio Lira having to make a save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Osvaldo Nunes to make the kick off. 53 minutes in the game, Osvaldinho Abraão fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Sílvio Lira having to interfere. If Juan Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvaldinho Abraão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The audience was convinced that Durvalino de Sousa's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sílvio Lira was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. Perizes's Sílvio Lira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Durvalino de Sousa in the 63rd minute of play. Sílvio Lira was a little too slow when Aníbal Pirani got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 0-3. Osvaldinho Abraão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sílvio Lira having to interfere. Durvalino de Sousa might have been able to make a better finish in the 74th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sílvio Lira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Durvalino de Sousa ran back to his position shaking his head. Waldemar Sampaio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joel Severo in the 77th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Vista's Ismael Tepedino got a free kick in the 78th minute. Joel Severo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Juan Arruda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sílvio Lira having to make a save. If Osvaldinho Abraão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sílvio Lira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juan Arruda in the 86th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Durvalino de Sousa kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sílvio Lira. That made the score 0-4 in the 88 minute of play. Sílvio Lira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Arruda in the 96th minute of the match. Vista's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
