Tubaroes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sidnei Vianna was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Olívio Dias made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Carlos Sanches in the 10th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Tubaroes's zone, José Prata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eurico de Amaral came out of the goal and José Prata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Olívio Dias made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaldo Martins in the 18th minute of play. Sidnei Vianna kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Olívio Dias made an important save on a dangerous shot by João Carlos Sanches in the 20th minute. Sidnei Vianna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Eurico de Amaral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eurico de Amaral showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Prata, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. When Thomás Coelho fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tubaroes's protests and gave Thomás Coelho a yellow card for diving instead. Thomás Coelho kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. If Arnaldo Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. José Prata took the ball and in the 32 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eurico de Amaral. Eurico de Amaral dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tubaroes's goalkeeper Eurico de Amaral, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 41st minute Amauri Breckenfeld shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olívio Dias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luís Guilherme Quirino hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Tubaroes's João Carlos Sanches got a free kick in the 48th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

José Prata's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 54thth minute, Eurico de Amaral skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Benedito Matos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eurico de Amaral having to interfere. A collision led to Tubaroes getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Luís Guilherme Quirino hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling José Prata in the 60th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Eurico de Amaral prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 61 minutes into the game, Luís Guilherme Quirino was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tubaroes's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ativa Sport Club the free kick. After 63 played minutes Ativa Sport Club got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Freitas. Amauri Breckenfeld fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Olívio Dias having to interfere. Amauri Breckenfeld scored 1-2 in the 68th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Olívio Dias, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luiz Fabiano Fontes hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. José Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eurico de Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Juan Costa in the 74th minute of the match. 77 minutes into the match, Tubaroes's goalkeeper Eurico de Amaral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Prata. José Pratas short, quick shot in the 79thth minute got Eurico de Amaral to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Ativa Sport Club's José Prata got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Ativa Sport Club booed when Tubaroes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arnaldo Martins didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Virgílio Andrade during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 82nd minute, Virgílio Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd match minute, Tubaroes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thomás Coelho to maneuver through the defense. Ativa Sport Club played a much better game than Tubaroes and deserved their victory. The Tubaroes players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
