João Carlos Sanches received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Chiquinho Veiga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Carlos Sanches in the 12th minute of play forced MMS Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Chiquinho Veiga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Tubaroes's goalkeeper Eurico de Amaral had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Júnior Velloso. Chiquinho Veiga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of João Carlos Sanches's shot from short distance in the 17th minute. When Gilson Azevedo fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored MMS Futebol Clube's protests and gave Gilson Azevedo a yellow card for diving instead. Chiquinho Veiga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of João Carlos Sanches's shot from short distance in the 26th minute. In the 27th match minute, MMS Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilson Azevedo to maneuver through the defense. Chiquinho Veiga took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amauri Breckenfeld, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Júnior Velloso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eurico de Amaral having to interfere. Eurico de Amaral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raí Lopez in the 31st minute of the match. Tubaroes's Eurico de Amaral proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 45th minute of the match, managed to save Tubaroes from getting a goal against them. Eurico de Amaral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raí Lopez in the 46th minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Amauri Breckenfeld to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 54th minute Júnior Velloso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eurico de Amaral saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th match minute, Tubaroes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luís Guilherme Quirino to maneuver through the defense. Tubaroes's Eurico de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raí Lopez in the 61st minute of play. With his leg Chiquinho Veiga managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Tubaroes's João Carlos Sanches fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 68th minute, one of Tubaroes:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Tubaroes. Luís Eduardo Félix walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Tubaroes's Eurico de Amaral played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Júnior Velloso in the 73rd minute of play. Raí Lopez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tubaroes's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
