Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Baiazinha's Luiz Fabiano Moreno started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Baiazinha's zone, José Prata stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Duarte Valladares came out of the goal and José Prata tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dagoberto Galvão kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. 6 minutes into the match, Dagoberto Galvão had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olívio Dias. Ativa Sport Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dagoberto Galvão was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Tiaguinho Meira struck a weak shot in the 11th minute. Duarte Valladares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ativa Sport Club. José Prata charged in rather forcefully in the 13th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed José Prata the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Ativa Sport Club's José Prata got a free kick in the 13th minute. Duarte Valladares came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by Ativa Sport Club's Virgílio Andrade. But to his dismay, Virgílio Andrade quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Tiaguinho Meira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Duarte Valladares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dagoberto Galvão's late challenge caught a Ativa Sport Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiaguinho Meira in the 36th minute of play forced Baiazinha's goalkeeper Duarte Valladares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Fabiano Moreno was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 41st minute. Baiazinha's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 43rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Baiazinha's goalkeeper Duarte Valladares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tiaguinho Meira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Duarte Valladares having to make a save. Olívio Dias took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Fabiano Moreno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 78th minute José Prata shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duarte Valladares saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 79 minutes into the match, Ativa Sport Club's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Fabiano Moreno came free, but Olívio Dias reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olívio Dias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Paulo Favoretto, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Duarte Valladares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Prata in the 90th minute of the match. José Prata sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Many of Ativa Sport Club's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Ativa Sport Club may have spent more time on the ball, but Baiazinha were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
