When the match had gone on for 30 minutes, Bebeto Macedo put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Chiquinho Veiga. If Adriano Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chiquinho Veiga didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Carlinhos Leal went, in the 37th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Bebeto Macedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half DRAMA FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Luís Fábio Tinoco made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raí Lopez in the 72nd minute of play. 73 minutes into the game, DRAMA FC's Jean Fernandez nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Chiquinho Veiga made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Carlinhos Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. After a defensive mix-up in DRAMA FC's zone, Júnior Velloso stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Fábio Tinoco came out of the goal and Júnior Velloso tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Jean Fernandez's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Chiquinho Veiga firmly grabbed it by the left post. DRAMA FC played a much better game than MMS Futebol Clube and deserved their victory. The MMS Futebol Clube players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
