Spectators: 7240 (Terracing: 5432, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Mathias Mello started the match with the kick off. After 2 minutes, Fabiano Gomes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Putiri and the Uacurizal EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 8th minute, Osvaldinho Linhares made a precise shot to the right of Manuel Paranaense. Uacurizal EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Putiri's zone, Sidney Vaz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aílton Sergipano came out of the goal and Sidney Vaz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mathias Mello took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Manuel Paranaense. Manuel Paranaense dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Alfredão Silveira hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. 21 minutes into the match, Uacurizal EC's goal looked a bit too open when Mathias Mello came free, but Manuel Paranaense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 24 minutes, the score became 0-3 when Osvaldinho Linhares sped through Uacurizal EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Manuel Paranaense. After a rather tough play, Uacurizal EC's Chico Veloso got a free kick in the 26th minute. Manuel Paranaense stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fabiano Gomes's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Alfredão Silveira's late challenge caught a Putiri's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfredão Silveira helped the player get up and apologised. Alfredão Silveira hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Patrick Barreto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Aílton Sergipano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Sidney Vaz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mathias Mello's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manuel Paranaense read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. After having played for 42 minutes, Osvaldinho Linhares managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Putiri's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldinho Linhares was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mathias Mello struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Manuel Paranaense didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Putiri. 44 minutes into the match, Osvaldinho Linhares notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Uacurizal EC's Manuel Paranaense. Manuel Paranaense was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sidney Vaz to make the kick off. Fabiano Gomes let the left foot speak when in front of goal in the 53rd minute shot 0-5 at rihgt post. Mathias Mello was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 59th minute. Putiri's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Fabiano Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Paranaense having to interfere. In the 72nd minute, Sidney Vaz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Aílton Sergipano was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. Fabiano Gomes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 82 played minutes Uacurizal EC got a freekick which was hit by Chico Veloso. In the 82nd minute Osvaldinho Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Paranaense saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manuel Paranaense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldinho Linhares, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Mathias Mello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 87 minutes into the match, Uacurizal EC's goal looked a bit too open when Osvaldinho Linhares came free, but Manuel Paranaense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Osvaldinho Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Paranaense having to interfere. In the 94th minute, Sidney Vaz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Putiri's Aílton Sergipano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Patrick Barreto in the 96th minute of play. Putiri's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
