Fernando Bezerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 14th minute, Henrique Ceresso made a precise shot to the right of Olívio Vianna. LuDrum's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. When Valdemar da Rocha fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored LuDrum's protests and gave Valdemar da Rocha a yellow card for diving instead. Valdemar da Rocha kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. After 18 played minutes, The true Champion's Ezequiel Veiga shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Olívio Vianna came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in The true Champion reached it. Olívio Vianna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fernando Bezerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. After 25 minutes, Benê Varela mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the LuDrum and the The true Champion players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 29 minutes, Fernando Bezerra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The true Champion's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Bezerra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fernando Bezerra might have been able to make a better finish in the 31st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olívio Vianna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fernando Bezerra ran back to his position shaking his head. 33 minutes into the match, Henrique Ceresso notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of LuDrum's Olívio Vianna. Olívio Vianna was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Henrique Ceresso might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Olívio Vianna. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Henrique Ceresso ran back to his position shaking his head. Olívio Vianna showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrique Ceresso in the 46th minute of the match. Olívio Vianna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Bezerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The wind increased when Antônio Siqueira made the kick off in the second half. The audience thought a goal was coming when Henrique Ceresso got free with Olívio Vianna in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Daniel Tande came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by LuDrum's Antônio Siqueira. But to his dismay, Antônio Siqueira quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-3. Tiaguinho Recife struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Daniel Tande didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for LuDrum. Daniel Tande made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antônio Siqueira in the 60th minute of play. In the 60th minute, Luís Fernando de Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antônio Siqueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 64 minutes, Henrique Ceresso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The true Champion's supporters crossed their fingers, but Henrique Ceresso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Fernando Bezerra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antônio Siqueira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tiaguinho Recife in the 72nd minute of play forced The true Champion's goalkeeper Daniel Tande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, The true Champion's Basílio Gerber got a free kick in the 73rd minute. If Antônio Siqueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Fernando de Queiroz during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 96 minutes into the game, Fernando Bezerra recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Olívio Vianna. Fernando Bezerra showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched The true Champion eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
