The ball went over the crossbar instead. Osvaldinho Linhares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Marcus Guedes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osvaldinho Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcus Guedes having to interfere. When Mathias Mello came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Putiri fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mathias Mello couldn't finish the play. 38 minutes into the match, Osvaldinho Linhares had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcus Guedes. Pyrenopolis's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Osvaldinho Linhares was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. Fabiano Gomes kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Osvaldinho Linhares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcus Guedes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play.

After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Kauan Brasil managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pyrenopolis's supporters rose to their feet, but Kauan Brasil was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aílton Sergipano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mathias Mello kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Pyrenopolis's Erivaldo Figueiredo got a free kick in the 58th minute. With an all-out effort, Putiri's Marcus Guedes threw himself towards the right post 59 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Osvaldinho Linhares, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Fernando Marinho recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Putiri's Joélson de Souza got a free kick in the 65th minute. If Osvaldinho Linhares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Marcus Guedes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mathias Mello in the 80th minute. Pyrenopolis's Marcus Guedes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save Pyrenopolis from getting a goal against them. Fernando Marinho might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aílton Sergipano. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fernando Marinho ran back to his position shaking his head. Osvaldinho Linhares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Marcus Guedes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Putiri's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
