Válter Paulista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Aílton Sergipano made a huge save. 5 minutes into the match, Putiri's goal looked a bit too open when Anísio Pitta came free, but Aílton Sergipano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Galiza C.F's Caio Rezende slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Aílton Sergipano. That made the score 2-0 after 20 minutes of play. Galiza C.F's Válter Paulista got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mathias Mello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Erik Paulista managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galiza C.F's supporters rose to their feet, but Erik Paulista was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aílton Sergipano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 34th minute, Erivaldo de Amorim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Erik Paulista kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. Richard Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Osvaldinho Linhares in the 45th minute of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Caio Rezende stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aílton Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Caio Rezende, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Mathias Mello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Putiri's supporters rose to their feet, but Mathias Mello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Richard Maranhense breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mathias Mello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Erik Paulista kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. 69 minutes into the game, Galiza C.F's Caio Rezende nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aílton Sergipano made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Aílton Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Caio Rezende in the 78th minute of play. Noel Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aílton Sergipano having to interfere.
