Rodrigo Lago could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Afonsinho Toledo made a huge save. 13 minutes into the match, Deportivo Garra F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Kauan Dracena came free, but Afonsinho Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kaká Furlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony Paraibano in the 24th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kauan Dracena in the 29th minute of play forced Deportivo Garra F. C.'s goalkeeper Afonsinho Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Caio Zonta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaká Furlan having to interfere. After 40 played minutes Desportivo got a freekick which was hit by Eriberto Quirino. After 41 minutes of play Desportivo's Eriberto Quirino was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. When the match had gone on for 45 minutes, Caio Zonta put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Kaká Furlan. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tony Pinheiro to strike the kick off in the second half. Tony Paraibano hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute Nicolas Valladares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Afonsinho Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Paraibano in the 58th minute of play forced Desportivo's goalkeeper Kaká Furlan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Deportivo Garra F. C.'s goalkeeper Afonsinho Toledo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Kauan Dracena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Afonsinho Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 84th minute, Caio Zonta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tony Pinheiro in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kaká Furlan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Caio Zonta came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Deportivo Garra F. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caio Zonta couldn't finish the play. In the 94th minute, Rodrigo Lago made a precise shot to the right of Afonsinho Toledo. Deportivo Garra F. C.'s defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
