The referee showed Wellington Rosado the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Gionel FC's Wellington Rosado got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 20th match minute, Patolas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cacá Queirós to maneuver through the defense. When Cacá Queirós fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Patolas FC's protests and gave Cacá Queirós a yellow card for diving instead. Cacá Queirós hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. The audience was convinced that Luiz Fabiano Queiroz's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Raúl Monteiro was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Raúl Monteiro came out of the goal and Luiz Fabiano Queiroz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 75th minute the ball was on its way in behind Patolas FC's goalkeeper Raúl Monteiro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Patolas FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Gionel FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
