Spectators: 7224 (Terracing: 5529, Seating: 1695, VIP seats: 0) Galo Azul's Fernandão Loyola started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateus Fantini in the 3rd minute of play forced Gionel FC's goalkeeper Jefferson Koehler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Galo Azul's Duarte Lucas got control of the ball when Luiz Fabiano Queiroz tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 8th minute, Orlando Ferreira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 9 minutes, Aílton Simão managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galo Azul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aílton Simão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 9th minute, Betinho Martins hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gionel FC's Jefferson Koehler played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernandão Loyola in the 10th minute of play. Luiz Fabiano Queiroz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luiz Fabiano Queiroz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Duarte Lucas read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. João Adolfo Marquez might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Duarte Lucas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. João Adolfo Marquez ran back to his position shaking his head. When Filipe Donato fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gionel FC's protests and gave Filipe Donato a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Gionel FC's Filipe Donato got a free kick in the 22nd minute. In the 23rd minute, Fernandão Loyola got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Fabiano Queiroz in the 28th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Duarte Lucas saved Galo Azul from getting behind. A hard shot 29 in the game by João Adolfo Marquez from a close distance when the talented Duarte Lucas managed to make a qualified save. Galo Azul's players were relieved. After some careless play in the Gionel FC defense, Aílton Simão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Jefferson Koehler. The Gionel FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Jefferson Koehler should have stopped the shot. In the 35thth minute of the game Luiz Fabiano Queiroz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Galo Azul's Duarte Lucas was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Fernandão Loyola came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Galo Azul fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernandão Loyola couldn't finish the play. Vânderson Perez charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vânderson Perez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Gionel FC booed when Galo Azul was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vânderson Perez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Galo Azul's zone, Luiz Fabiano Queiroz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Duarte Lucas came out of the goal and Luiz Fabiano Queiroz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luiz Fabiano Queiroz made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 50th minute, Aílton Simão managed to get in a good position for a shot. Galo Azul's supporters rose to their feet, but Aílton Simão was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jefferson Koehler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Fernandão Loyola received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Jefferson Koehler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Aílton Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jefferson Koehler having to interfere. Duarte Lucas came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Gionel FC's João Adolfo Marquez. But to his dismay, João Adolfo Marquez quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Fernandão Loyola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Betinho Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. A collision led to Gionel FC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Wellington Rosado hit a great ball. If Aílton Simão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute, Mateus Fantini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Galo Azul's Fernandão Loyola got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 82nd match minute, Gionel FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nando Ramos to maneuver through the defense. Aílton Simãos short, quick shot in the 83rdth minute got Jefferson Koehler to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 85 minutes, João Adolfo Marquez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gionel FC and the Galo Azul players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 85th match minute, Gionel FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by João Adolfo Marquez to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Fernandão Loyola in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jefferson Koehler prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 90 minutes into the match, Gionel FC's goalkeeper Jefferson Koehler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Aílton Simão. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
