The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ian Pinheiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonsinho Toledo having to interfere. 5 minutes into the match, Deportivo Garra F. C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Benedito Mello came free, but Afonsinho Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Afonsinho Toledo made a fantastic save in the 6th minute, when Ian Pinheiro sent off a good shot on target. Duere's Ian Pinheiro got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Deportivo Garra F. C.'s Afonsinho Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedito Mello in the 13th minute of play. In the 15th minute, Deportivo Garra F. C.'s goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Ian Pinheiro fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Benedito Mello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Afonsinho Toledo having to interfere. Caio Zonta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Renato Saraiva having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Caio Zonta in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo Renato Saraiva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Caio Zonta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Tony Pinheiro came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Deportivo Garra F. C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tony Pinheiro couldn't finish the play. Ian Pinheiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ian Pinheiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Afonsinho Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 44th minute, Laerte de Godoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Afonsinho Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Benedito Mello in the 52nd minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Tony Pinheiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Deportivo Garra F. C.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Tony Pinheiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Renato Saraiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Paulo Renato Saraiva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tony Pinheiro in the 61st minute of play. Deportivo Garra F. C.'s Afonsinho Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedito Mello in the 65th minute of play. Deportivo Garra F. C.'s Caio Zonta got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Afonsinho Toledo came out of the goal in the 76th minute to try and stop a shot by Duere's Ian Pinheiro. But to his dismay, Ian Pinheiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Duere's Paulo Renato Saraiva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Duere from getting a goal against them. After 84 played minutes Deportivo Garra F. C. got a freekick which was hit by Glauco Almeida. Ian Pinheiro scored 2-0 in the 88th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Afonsinho Toledo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the referee blew the final whistle, Duere could leave the field as winners, despite Deportivo Garra F. C. having more of the ball for most of the match.
