Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 7 played minutes Duere got a freekick which was hit by Elivélton Falcão. Cacá de Queiroz hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 11 minutes, Kauan Dracena took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Paulo Renato Saraiva to make any attempt to save it. In the 18th minute, Elivélton Falcão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kaká Furlan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ian Pinheiro in the 21st minute of the match. In the 23rd minute, Benedito Mello ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kaká Furlan was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Kauan Dracena received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Paulo Renato Saraiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ian Pinheiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Duere getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Patrick de Andrade hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Kauan Dracena kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Paulo Renato Saraiva. That made the score 2-1 in the 43 minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kauan Dracena made a kick off. After having played for 56 minutes, Rodrigo Lago managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Desportivo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rodrigo Lago was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Desportivo's Kauan Dracena got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Kauan Dracena struck a weak shot in the 66th minute. Paulo Renato Saraiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Desportivo. In the 71st match minute, Desportivo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nicolas Valladares to maneuver through the defense. Paulo Renato Saraiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Lago, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 81 minutes, Patrick de Andrade mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Duere and the Desportivo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st minute, Patrick de Andrade hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Kauan Dracena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Ian Pinheiro fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Thanks to some nice moves Ian Pinheiro could shoot a difficult shot in the 87th minute, which Kaká Furlan however easily saved by the left post. Eriberto Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Renato Saraiva having to interfere. Duere's Paulo Renato Saraiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rodrigo Lago in the 95th minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Duere's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Lago came free, but Paulo Renato Saraiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
