When Pedro Luiz Ferraz fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caruara SS's protests and gave Pedro Luiz Ferraz a yellow card for diving instead. Pedro Luiz Ferraz hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. Valdir Paranaense had great luck who in the 24thth minute grab hold of the ball when Ricardinho Lira from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. The crowd rose to their feet as Izumi F.C.'s Dito Quirino slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Valdir Paranaense. That made the score 1-0 after 28 minutes of play. Valdir Paranaense made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Dito Quirino sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dito Quirino got free with Valdir Paranaense in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd rose to their feet as Ricardinho Lira kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Valdir Paranaense. That made the score 2-0 in the 43 minute of play. After a rather tough play, Caruara SS's Pedro Luiz Ferraz got a free kick in the 49th minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ricardinho Lira to strike the kick off in the second half. Frédson Magalhães's late challenge caught a Izumi F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Frédson Magalhães helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Caruara SS's Frédson Magalhães got a free kick in the 55th minute. Valdir Paranaense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardinho Lira in the 56th minute of the match. In the 57th minute, Dito Quirino got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Izumi F.C. booed when Caruara SS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Raí Campidelis didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 60th minute, Vicente Paraíba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Serginho Marinho was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. If Vicente Paraíba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dito Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdir Paranaense having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dito Quirino in the 87th minute of play forced Caruara SS's goalkeeper Valdir Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Benjamim Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benjamim Meirelles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
