With a little luck, Pirapituba AD's Josué Madureira got control of the ball when Percival Paulista tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Pirapituba AD getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Ruy Souza hit a great ball. 20 minutes into the game, Philadelphia's Percival Paulista nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Josué Madureira made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Naldo Guedes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pirapituba AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Naldo Guedes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilson Quintal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 29th minute of the match Eurico Romero sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gilson Quintal skillfully saved the ball. Gilson Quintal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Naldo Guedes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Naldo Guedes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilson Quintal having to interfere. The supporters of Philadelphia booed when Pirapituba AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Noel de Sousa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute of the match Hílton Vander shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Josué Madureira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Pirapituba AD's Josué Madureira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 47th minute of the match, managed to save Pirapituba AD from getting a goal against them. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Naldo Guedes was the one to do the kick off. Josué Madureira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fábio Donatello, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Percival Paulista in the 53rd minute of play forced Pirapituba AD's goalkeeper Josué Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Philadelphia's Gilson Quintal got control of the ball when Naldo Guedes tried to sneak it across the goal line. Josué Madureira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Percival Paulista in the 63rd minute of the match. Naldo Guedes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 83rd minute of the match, but Gilson Quintal made a huge save. In the 93rd minute Moisés Porto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josué Madureira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee ended the match the Philadelphia players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
