Ediberto Correia charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ediberto Correia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Insanos FC's Ediberto Correia got a free kick in the 16th minute. Edvaldo Torres took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cléber Schmidt. Cléberson Meirelles's late challenge caught a Insanos FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edvaldo Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cléber Schmidt didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Edvaldo Torres went, in the 45th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Viannopolis FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Washington Rossi was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-9. Edvaldo Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Cléber Schmidt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edvaldo Torres sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Viannopolis FC booed when Insanos FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Washington Rossi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edvaldo Torres received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Cléber Schmidt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Insanos FC played a much better game than Viannopolis FC and deserved their victory. The Viannopolis FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
