Carlinhos Tavares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cláudio Tasso in the 19th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Cláudio Tasso managed to get in a good position for a shot. Viannopolis FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cláudio Tasso was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlinhos Tavares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Geovanni Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Cléber Schmidt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cido Reis in the 31st minute of the match. Geovanni Gaúcho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Many of Viannopolis FC's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Viannopolis FC may have spent more time on the ball, but SocialFoz were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
